DEAR MEMBERS AND SPONSORS:

The next regular meeting of the BEADLE COUNTY SPORTSMEN’S CLUB will be held on Tuesday, May 9th. Social hour will start at 6:00 p.m., with hors d`oeuvres starting at 6:15 pm. and supper served around 7:00 p.m.

MENU: Firing up the Charcoal Grill! Choice of grilled Rib Eye, boneless pork chop, or boneless chicken breast, potatoes, salads, and dessert. Please pay as you enter the clubhouse so we can get a count for the grill and get your meal ticket. Deposit half your numbered meal ticket in the basket at the grill and a drawing will be held for a chance at a free meal.

May 13th May 20th – Izaak Walton sponsored Kid’s Fishing Day at the southwest shelter at Ravine Lake. Free noon lunch and prizes for children

June 7, 9 & 10 HUNT SAFE classes

June 13th meeting will have Alex Elias speaker, SDGFP private lands biologist assisting land owners in cost shared or fully funded habitat develpopment as well as grassland conservation programs

August 17, 18, 19 HUNT SAFE classes

We are having a ‘sweatshirt raffle’ at the cost of $1 a chance. If you’re a winner, you’ll get a certificate to pick up your color choice and size at Signature Plus.

We will also have a gun raffle board at the cost of $5 a chance.

The winners were 1st Prize of $1,000: Brad Katz and Sarah Kempf split; 2nd Prize – Bergara-Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle Sally Boomsma; 3rd Prize – Ruger Predator 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle Corey Bawdon; 4th Prize – Taurus G3C 9 mm Pistol Brenda Purtintun; Pay What U Pull Gun Raffle ticket #14 – Bruce Carsten; Dave’s hand-made knife – Jon Schied; 50/50 winner of $382 Idella Bawdon and black jack winners were Jay Barton, Tyler Serenson ($100), and Nick Morris ($50); Duck Pond – Brian Reno ($100) Daxton Kempf ($50), Daxton Kempf ($25) and Quinn Pell ($25). Special thank you to Steve Bublitz who contributed knives to the Cap raffle. The club has a 2012 riding lawnmower that will be going up for bids later this spring. Talk to Ron Wallenstein if interested for more information.

Collecting 2023 membership dues. Your mailing label will list the last year you have paid. The dues are $30 for a Membership and $55 for a Sponsorship. If you change your address, please notify Sharon Reno 605-352-8281 (voice) or 605-350-1899 (text).
