DEAR MEMBERS AND SPONSORS:

The next regular meeting of the BEADLE COUNTY SPORTSMEN’S CLUB will be held on Tuesday, June 13th. Social hour will start at 6:00 p.m., with hors d`oeuvres starting at 6:15 pm. and supper served around 7:00 p.m.

MENU: Choice of grilled Rib Eye, boneless pork chop, or boneless chicken breast, potatoes, salad, and dessert. Please pay as you enter the clubhouse so we can get a count for the grill and get your meal ticket. Deposit half your numbered meal ticket in the basket at the grill and a drawing will be held for a chance at a free meal.

The club has a 2012 riding lawnmower that is up for bids. Give your bid to Ron Wallenstein and mower will be sold to highest bidder at June meeting!

We will have Bartering Tables set up for any sports equipment you would like to sell, trade or swap. Please bring your quality items, or “shop” for the other items that will be available. There is no cost for this service and is available to anyone.

We are having a ‘sweatshirt raffle’ at the cost of $1 a chance. If you’re a winner, you’ll get a certificate to pick up your color choice and size at Signature Plus.

We will also have a gun raffle board at the cost of $5 a chance.

A Memorial plaque is planned for our clubhouse. Contact Sharon if you are interested in having your loved ones name(s) engraved on a plate; the cost is $50 for each plate.

Kid’s Fishing Day

Join us Sat. May 13th 20th for our Kid’s Fishing Day at the southwest shelter at Ravine Lake. Free noon lunch and prizes for children, sponsored by the Izaak Walton League.

We are having a ‘sweatshirt raffle’ at the cost of $1 a chance. If you’re a winner, you’ll get a certificate to pick up your color choice and size at Signature Plus.

Special thank you to Steve Bublitz who contributed knives to the Cap raffle. DEAR MEMBERS AND SPONSORS:

The next regular meeting of the BEADLE COUNTY SPORTSMEN’S CLUB will be held on Tuesday, April 11th. Social hour will start at 6:00 p.m., with hors d`oeuvres starting at 6:15 pm. and supper served around 7:00 p.m.

MENU: Soup Supper! Planning on serving Shrimp Gumbo, Strunkle (green bean and potato) and White Chili (chicken) with hot ham sandwiches and dessert. We need help in the kitchen following the meeting with clean up. Talk to Lyle, Janet, Darla or Dave.

Thank you to Rick Hein for moving snow at the clubhouse and the many volunteers who helped at the KOKK Sports Show especially Ron Wallenstein who organized and collected the supplies.

Election Results: Dave Eichstadt-president, Leo Pollock-vice-president, Sharon Reno-secretary/treasurer, and Brad Schutt and Jon Schied as new board members with Dale Berens, and Ron Wallenstein staying on for another three years. Thank you to Alan Purtinun and Tom Westphal for their many years of dedicated service.

The Big Buck/Bull/Lunker Contest winners at the March 14th meeting: Wayne Diede – Rifle, Whitetail, Steve Frank – Archery, Whitetail; Greg Hepper winning both longest Walleye caught with hook and line and longest pan fish species; Pat Cronin – longest other fish.

Make plans to attend the Spring Bonanza Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Top prize $1,000; 2nd Prize – Bergara-Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle; 3rd Prize – Ruger Predator 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle; 4th Prize – Taurus G3C 9 mm Pistol with $25 Drawings throught the evening, along with blackjack, pick a duck, heads or tails, pay what you pull game, and popular hat raffle. If you have donations for our silent auction, you can bring them on Tuesday, or anytime during the year as we will store them until our bonanza.
